Note: Brian frequently requested that his Grandma make chocolate pudding dessert whenever he came to visit them on the farm in Oklahoma. I learned before we married how yummy this dessert is. We still think of her anytime we eat this dessert.
Crust:
1-1/4 cups flour
1 stick butter, softened
3 T sugar
1/2-3/4 cup chopped nuts
Blend. Press in bottom of 9x13 baking pan. Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool.
Mix 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, and half of a 9 oz. container of Cool Whip. Spread on cooled crust.
Mix 1 large box instant pudding mix (chocolate, coconut, or butterscotch), 3 cups milk, and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Beat until thickened. Spread pudding mix on top of cream cheese layer, then add the rest of the Cool Whip very carefully so it doesn't mix together.
