Note: Terry's recipe. We would add that using fresh pecans puts this pie over the top. We have all been spoiled with fresh pecans each fall from the pecan trees at Brian's Grandpa and Grandma's farm in Oklahoma.
1 cup sugar
1 cup white Karo syrup
1 cup chopped pecans
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt
Stir together all ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Cover and bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees; reduce heat to 350 and bake about 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
