Note: One of Brian's favorites. I admit it took me a while to like this dish. I began our marriage with a strong aversion to green peppers. Over the years, my stomach has adapted to peppers. I like to top it with some shredded cheddar cheese if we have some on hand.
Elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 small can tomato sauce
garlic salt, pepper, chili powder, catsup
Cook macaroni according to package directions; do not overcook. Brown gound beef with onion and pepper. Drain. Add tomato sauce, garlic salt, pepper, and a generous amount of chili powder. Add macaroni. Add catsup as desired. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
