Hawaiian Chicken

Note: A family favorite growing up. Mom frequently made Hawaiian chicken to take to other families that needed a meal.

5-6 chicken breasts
1 T A-1 steak sauce
3 T soy sauce
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1 pound brown sugar (about 2-1/2 cups)
medium can crushed pineapple

Cut chicken breasts into two or three inch pieces. Brown in 2 tablespoons oil. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Keep on med-low heat, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through. Can thicken with cornstarch. Best served over rice.

*Could also use other cuts of chicken.
**After ingredients for sauce have been added, this can also be baked in an oven-safe dish.
