Seven Layer Dip

Note: Taken from Janice Madsen's 4-H demonstration. Why it's called seven layer dip when there isn't really seven layers, I'm unsure, but it does make a satisfying appetizer.

1 can fat free refried beans
1 pkg mild taco seasoning
8 oz sour cream
1/2 cup salsa
1 pkg guacamole mix, prepared using two avocados as instructed on package
shredded cheddar cheese
sliced olives
chopped tomatoes
sliced green onions

Mix taco seasoning with refried beans. In a separate bowl, mix salsa and sour cream together. Start by spreading refried beans on large serving plate. Then spread guacamole on top of beans. Last, spread sour cream/salsa mixture over the guac. Top with cheese. Then olives, tomatoes, and onions as desired. Serve with tortilla chips.
