Note: Often served at our holiday dinners.
4 medium sweet potatoes
1 C sugar
1/2 C butter
1/4 C water
Combine sugar, butter, and water in large skillet. Peel and slice sweet potatoes in 1/2 inch rounds. As you slice each potato, immediately place in skillet mixture and spoon liquid over sweet potatoes to prevent discoloration. Cook until soft, offasionally basting with liquid.
