Amanda's Black Bean Dip

Note: I have been asked for this recipe so many times. It began as a staple for the Superbowl parties we had at the Huggin's house every year. We begged Amanda for the recipe. Since then, I serve it as an appetizer for parties. It's always a hit.

1 16 oz. can fat free refried beans (Can double it and use the large 32 oz. can.)
1 16 oz. can drained black beans
1 4 oz. can chopped green chilis
8 oz. light sour cream
8 oz. light cream cheese
1 bunch green onions (use your judgement on how much you want)
1 package taco seasoning
1/2 cup salsa
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese (or colby, cheddar, colby-jack, whatever you like)

1. Mix all ingredients together. Bake at 400 degrees for 2o minutes. Sprinkle extra cheese on top if you wish.

2. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos. Lanny would want me to add that Tostitos Gold are the best!

You can subsitute all fat free items, but it doesn't melt as well or taste as good.
